With 8 channels to choose from, you can add 4 more cameras of your choice to ensure all the important locations at your premises are protected. Use the DVR's remote control or push button controls to view 8 channels at once, quad view or 1 channel at a time. It's up to you.


The system includes a state-of-the-art 8 Channel DVR8-2550 digital video recorder for simultaneous viewing and recording of 8 video streams locally, over the Internet or on your 3G Smartphone. The unit has H.264 video compression for fast, efficient recording and playback. You can also adjust the frame rate and image resolution with CIF real-time recording on all 8 channels (30fps per channel, 120 fps total) and the ability to adjust the recording settings for each camera to the resolution you choose from 352 x 240 pixels (CIF) up to 704 x 480 pixels (D1). The four Day / Night Cameras provide crystal clear video through their high resolution 420 TV Lines 1/4"" Sony CCD image sensors with night vision up to 50 feet and the ability to operate indoors and outdoors.
A massive 500GB SATA hard drive is pre-installed to allow up to 60 days+ of continuous recording from all 8 channels. You can also record for longer, save time and hard drive space using the DVR8-2550's advanced motion activated recording. Even better, the time and date are integrated into your video files, allowing you to find incident footage and transfer events to a USB flash drive for easy storage and retrieval when the time is right. You can also configure the DVR to send you email alerts when activity is detected for peace of mind, all the time.

Easily set-up remote viewing with Swann's UPnP (Universal Plug n Play) technology that automatically configures the DVR to your router (if your router has UPnP capability) and the internet. Knowing what's happening is easier than ever with VGA connection for viewing on your PC or LCD monitor (with VGA input) or view on your existing TV using the video cable in the pack.
Once the DVR and cameras are installed at your home or business, simply download the free 'SwannView' app from the relevant app website or from www.swann.com/swannview. For iPhone or iPad users the app is free to download from the AppStore. For Android users it can be downloaded from the Android Market and BlackBerry users can access their AppWorld. Users of Windows Mobile 6 or Symbian OS can download from www.swann.com/swannview.

For your convenience the app is also included on a disk in the pack. Once Swannview is installed on your Smartphone, put the DVR's IP address into the browser and in less than a minute you can view video from all 4 cameras live onscreen.
