Network Video Recorder Information

Network Video Recorders (NVR) record video footage in a digital format. The video is captured at the cameras and sent over a network to the NVR. Network Video Recorders are very similar to Digital Video Recorders with a few major differences. Network Video Recorders are just another device on the network. They receive data through IP routing on the network. NVR's have all the options of the Digital cousins such as scheduled recording, PTZ protocols, and web/3G Phone access. Keep in mind most Network IP Cameras come with NVR recording software that can turn a network PC into a NVR.
