But because of wireless technology it can also be sent to a laptop or monitored by cell phone if connected to the internet.

Like all security systems, wireless security has weak points. Some systems are susceptible to being jammed by other wireless devices that are transmitting on the same frequency. Some manufacturers have been able to overcome this problem, though. Another problem is signal interception, especially for wireless cameras. Anyone with the proper receiving equipment can intercept information, if close enough to the signal. Some systems are able to overcome this by using transmitters and receivers that operate point-to-point.
